Hi! I'm Carmen!
I’m an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher and coach and I passionately help immigrant women and moms improve their English, speak with more confidence, and reach their goals through private and small group classes for women, and a supportive community. ❤
I work specifically with women who are at a high beginner to low intermediate level (A2/B1) who feel stuck in their progress.

My Background
I have been a private language teacher and coach for over 10 years (German and ESL). After getting certified in TESOL in 2019, I started teaching ESL at NOVA (Northern Virginia Community College), Woodbridge. When Covid started, I returned to teaching private classes - first online and later in my in-home classroom.
I believe women learn best in a relaxed private or small group setting. :)
My Expertise
I specifically work with women and moms (from all nationalities) who already speak basic English (A2 level or higher) but feel embarrassed to speak, unmotivated to learn, or who feel stuck in their English learning journey.
I do not teach total beginners at the moment.
What to Expect
- Private 1-on-1 classes or small group classes (6 women max.)
- Women-only classes
- Relaxed and stress-free environment
- Classes take place in my in-home classroom (near Chinn library in Woodbridge, VA)
- Flexible schedule (Monday to Friday, 9am - 4pm)
